Nicolas Guerra, MD, FAAP

Pediatrician in New Braunfels, TX

1816 Pediatrics

Dr. Guerra is a board-certified Pediatrician with the American Board of Pediatrics. He was born and raised in South Texas, and received his undergraduate degree from the University of Texas Pan-American (Now UTRGV). He went on to complete medical school and his residency training program at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston in affiliation with Texas Children’s Hospital. He has been practicing pediatrics in the Schertz and New Braunfels area for the past 15 years.

Dr. Guerra married his wife in 2005, and together they have three sons. He is an animal lover, and has dogs, cats and occasionally other small pets in his home. He enjoys spending time outdoors with his family, whether it’s watching sports, hunting, relaxing at the beach, or even working in the yard.

Practice Manager

Cynthia Celedon is the Practice Manager for 1816 Pediatrics, bringing 26 years of expertise in medical administration. Throughout her distinguished career, she has excelled in roles ranging from Medical Receptionist and Revenue Cycle Manager to Practice Manager, Practice Administrator, and CEO. This diverse experience highlights her leadership, operational proficiency, and deep understanding of healthcare management. Cynthia attended Angelo State University, where she pursued studies in Nursing. A proud resident of San Antonio for the past 28 years, she remains committed to improving healthcare in her community through her extensive knowledge and skills.

Cynthia is married with three children and enjoys outdoor activities, sports, and spending time with family over everything.

Michelle A. Wheeler

Pediatric Nurse Practitioner

1816 Pediatrics

Mrs. Wheeler is a board certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner who has been practicing in the
San Antonio area since 2001. She grew up in Arkansas where she graduated from the
University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences with a Master in Nursing Science degree. Prior to
that she completed a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner program from Georgetown University and
practiced the first 11 years of her career at Arkansas Children’s Hospital.

Mrs. Wheeler is married with one son. She enjoys traveling with her family, nature hikes and
bike rides. She also finds joy in continuing education to to better understand the root cause of
conditions affecting today’s children.
